Today we celebrate the day in 1952 when Douglas Noel Adams was born.
In the beginning of his writing career Douglas also wrote and acted in some sketches for “Monty Python’s Flying Circus“, but only briefly because he found it hard to write for television and radio at that moment.
Which is ironic seeing as some years later he would write for “Doctor Who”, “Doctor Snuggles”, an assortment sketches for several radio shows and in 1977 his most famous work “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” which was intentionally written as a radio series, then grew into a book series.
