End Of The Middle Ages Day

🏰

The fall of Constantinople on May 29 1453 is by many “historians” considered to be the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the Renaissance.

Officially the year 1453 still falls within the time period of the “Late Middle Ages” which spans approximately from 1250 to 1500.

Constantinople houses many scholars who fled their residence to many places, among which many countries of Europe.
Which is seen as a possible significant contribution of making the Renaissance happen when Western science benefited from the influence of Eastern science and sparking a great sense of curiosity as an interesting side effect.

“We exist in a bizarre combination of Stone Age emotions, medieval beliefs, and god like technology.”
(Edward Osborne Wilson)
