Internaut Day

August 23, 1991, is often said to be the date that the World Wide Web was born.
The WWW was in development for some years already and the network was laid decades ago.

The first WWW webpage was published at the start of August, though only visible for users of CERN.
But August 23 was the day where people outside of CERN were invited to try out the very first browser on the very first WWW web pages.
This was the point where the World Wide Web began it’s world wide exposure that would fit it’s purpose.

The Web as I envisaged it, we have not seen it yet.
The future is still so much bigger than the past.
