No bras were burned at the Dolle Mina protest in Amsterdam
There are many stories about bras being burned at feminist protests.
All of those or most are either wrong or wildly exaggerated.

What was really burned on January 23, 1970,this day near the Wilhelmina Drucker statue in Amsterdam that day was a corset.
Because of this hoax, the Aletta institute for female history announced on April 1, 2011 to have received 2 charred remains of bras that were burned that day from an anonymous participant of that protest.
These bras turned out to have been modern bras that were charred that very morning, because APRIL FOOLS!
The bra hoax was previously applied to a Miss America beauty pageant protest in 1968 where bras were thrown in a “Freedom Trash Can”.
Some flames were held near, but no real fire occurred. Except in the written or word of mouth reports
