The Origin of Burger Month:

Hamburger Month was cooked up by the burger aficionados at White Castle in 1993 as โ€œNational Hamburger Monthโ€, and it has been sizzling ever since.
Since this celebration has spread like BBQ-smoke to countries all over the world, it makes no sense to call it โ€œnationalโ€ anymore.
Therefore we call it โ€œBurger Monthโ€ for global enjoyment.
But why in May? Well, why not?
It’s the perfect time to fire up the grill and kick off the summer season with some juicy patties.
And hey, it’s also International Barbecue Month, so why not double the fun and celebrate burgers and barbecues together?
It’s a match made in grilling heaven!
