Created by Alzheimer’s Disease International on September21, 1994.
September 21 is the anniversary of the creation of the ADI in 1984.
This day is also usually the day the annual Alzheimer Report is published.
Since 2012 Alzheimer’s Month has been created to celebrate along with Alzheimer’s Day.
