Worldwide Candle Lighting Day was created by the community from The Compassionate Friend in 1997 as a small internet
observance in honor of children who’s lives were tragically short for any reason.
The candles are lit at 7:00 pm or 19:00 local time to remember these children who never got to grow up and to support their grieving friends and family.
