Grab life by the antlers, embrace your wild side and get ready to celebrate the Buck Moon!
Why should we celebrate this lunar event?
Well, let us count the bucks on the run!
Buck Moon got its name because in July male dears deers, called bucks, are growing back the horns they shed at the beginning of the year and prepare for the upcoming mating season. And what could be a more fitting celebration than a moon named after one of nature’s most majestic creatures?
But, the Buck Moon isn’t just about deer and antlers.
July is a great time to plant a variety of vegetables, fruits, and herbs in most regions.
Some of the best options include tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, zucchini, beans, corn, melons, raspberries, blueberries, basil, dill and parsley.
Just be sure to choose varieties that are well-suited for your specific growing conditions and climate.
Additionally, don’t forget to prepare your garden beds with compost and organic matter to ensure healthy soil for your plants to thrive in.
There’s no better way to celebrate the Buck Moon than with all things we hold deer!
You can create a deer-friendly garden, decorate your home with deer-themed accents, or even take a moonlit walk in the woods to spot some of these beautiful creatures.
Here’s to the bucks, the doe-eyed beauties, and the great outdoors!
