๐Ÿ’ผ Millions of kids, all of them overloaded with homework, get a much-needed night off tonight. Give ’em a break, teachers!

According to information provided by Shelley Fraser Mickle, her fourth grade teacher, miss Dickinson, created a National No Homework Day on the last school day of March to reduce stress for her students.
Doing homework on this day would be rewarded with an F!

No Homework Day, without the ‘National’ was created by Thomas Roy and published in Chase’s Calendar of Events Annual to be held every year on May 6.

Both holidays were first celebrated somewhere in the 20th century.
Which one of these holidays came first is not sure.
What is sure, is that both holidays are quite welcome as the purpose and stress resulting from homework is of much debate and research currently.
