Photo is light. Photography is an image from light.
When light shines through a very small hole, sometimes the circumstances are so that a picture from where the light comes from is projected on a surface of the other side of the hole, but upside down.
If the surface where the light picture falls on is coated with material that changes when exposed to light, an imprint is made from the picture projected.
This in a nutshell is pinhole photography. You can actually make a camera by making a tiny hole in a box and put a layer of silver oxide on the inside of the box opposing the hole.
This is oversimplified of course, but try looking up “diy pinhole camera” in a search engine and see what turns up!
A reverse project is where you put your phone in a box with the screen towards a hole with a looking glass in it and then point the hole at a wall in a dark room. Now you have a projector for upside down reverse pictures!
And this is how you become a light bender.
