Take a Girl Child to Work Day was created in 2003 as an annual corporate social investment event, held in South Africa.
Companies involved organise for female school pupils, usually from disadvantaged backgrounds, to spend the day at their place of work.
The initiative is organised by cellular service provider, Cell C, and endorsed by the South African Department of Education.
If women are expected to do the same work as men, we must teach them the same things.
