“Tau Day” is a holiday for the people on “Team Tau” as opposed to “Team Pi”.
Tau is a number, to be exactly it is 2π.
Michael Hartl debates that tau is better to calculate circles with than pi.
Which means that for the circumference we should use “τr” instead of “2πr” and for the surface of a circle “τr2/2″ instead of “πr2“
