Plugin developers work tirelessly, sometimes for free, to create tools that make our lives easier.
It’s their code, their creativity and probably a few too many energy drinks that keep the digital world spinning.
Behind every great website is a plugin developer furiously typing and wondering why they didn’t choose a simpler career.
Without plugin developers, the internet would be as bland as toast without butter.

From Idea to Appreciation

This day of digital thanks was created by Matt Mullenweg, the co-founder of WordPress, back in 2009.
He wanted people to acknowledge the vital role that plugin developers play in the WordPress ecosystem and thus January 28th became their annual 24 hours of fame.
Fast forward those years to today where Thank a Plugin Developer Day has become a beloved tradition in the tech community.
