Silence is golden, but whistleblowers are priceless π£οΈπ’βοΈπ£π¦π
Whistleblowers are people who, at great personal risk, expose fraud, corruption, safety hazards and other misconducts that could otherwise go unnoticed.
Today we appreciate the truth-tellers who risk their careers and sometimes even their safety.
National Whistleblower Appreciation Day was created by the United States Senate on July 30th, 2013.
The date of July 30 was chosen because it commemorates the passage of the very first U.S. whistleblower law on July 30, 1778.
Because of the copypasta power of the interwebz, this yearly event has gone worldwide because we need whistleblowers everywhere!
A toast to the brave whistleblowers who stand tall in the face of adversity.
May your courage inspire us all to speak up for whatβs right.
Because silence in the face of injustice is consenting to injustice.
Let’s keep those whistles blowing and those truths flowing!
Happy Whistleblower Appreciation Day!
