🗓️ January 3

Where:
🌐 Everywhere

Since:
2005

Are you tired of feeling like your voice doesn’t matter in the political process?
Well, have no fear because January 3 is here!
That’s right folks, it’s the first day of the new Congress and the perfect opportunity for you to pen your thoughts and concerns to your elected officials.
Because let’s face it, they’re just dying to hear from you!
📨

But why should you celebrate Write to Congress Day on January 3?
Well, for starters, it’s a chance for you to finally let your representatives know that you’re not just a number on a voting roll, but a real live human being with real live concerns.
Like the fact that your taxes are too high, or that healthcare is too expensive, or that education is too…well, you get the point.

Writing to Congress is also a great way to build relationships with your representatives.
After all, who doesn’t love getting mail? Besides the government, obviously.
But in all seriousness, writing to Congress is a great way to establish a line of communication with your representatives and let them know that you’re paying attention to what they’re doing (or not doing) in office.

And let’s be real, Congress is supposed to work for you, not the other way around.
So why not take a few minutes to remind them of that on January 3?
It’s the perfect time to start fresh with your representatives and let them know that you have expectations for them.
And if they don’t meet those expectations, well, there’s always the next election.

✍️
So, don’t be a “write-off” on January 3, take a few minutes to write to your representatives in Congress and let them know what’s on your mind.
It may not change the world, but it will certainly make you feel better!
